Scientific monitoring of the implementation of the Ecodesign Directive and Energy Labelling Regulation - 4th work programme

The aim of the project is to support the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment in their work on the implementation of the Ecodesign Directive and the directive on energy-use labelling (EVK) in a scientifically sound manner. Specifically, this is done through scientific (additional) work in the following areas: Accompanying preliminary studies on product groups from the Third and Fourth EU Ecodesign Work Programmes and studies on the revision of existing product-specific ecodesign and EVK regulations (e.g. batteries, electric kettles, computers), preparing an information brochure on the topic of ecodesign and energy labels (cf. , as well as preparing a short expert report and conducting an expert discussion on products with short innovation cycles (cf. www.umweltbundesamt.de/sites/default/files/medien/479/publikationen/texte_17-2022_reduzierung_des_energie-_und_ressourcenverbrauchs_vernetzter_elektro-_und_elektronikgeraete.pdf).
