Scientific monitoring of the implementation of the ecodesign directive and the energy labelling directive - 3rd work programme

The aim of the project was to provide scientific support to the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) as regards their work undertaken to implement the Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Directives. Specifically, this was done through scientific (ground)work in the following areas: Supervision of preparatory studies on selected product groups from the third Ecodesign Working Plan of the European Commission and of studies to revise existing product-specific Ecodesign and Energy Labelling regulations (computers, air conditioners, domestic refrigerators, washing machines), brief expert report on working documents for consultation fora and regulatory committees; supervision of the revision of self-regulatory initiatives; brief expert report on the exchangeability of LED light sources.
