Scientific monitoring of the implementation of the Ecodesign Directive and the Energy labelling Directive - Work programme for 2012 and beyond

The overall aim of the project was to support the work of the Federal Environment Ministry (BMU) and the Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) on the implementation of the Ecodesign and the Energy Labelling Directive in a scientifically sound manner. In concrete terms, this was done through monitoring of the preparatory studies and of the implementing measures under the Ecodesign Directive and the Energy Labelling Directive; review of the work programme as from 2012 and development of optimization proposals; expert guidance on the revision of the directives as from 2012 and development of proposals for the optimization of methodology; initiation of an exchange of experience with relevant stakeholders (technical discussions).
