Service contract on future EU Environment Policy

The project discusses policy options and contributes to exploring strategic options for future environmental policy with a view to the 8th Environmental Action Programme (EAP). The European Green Deal is also taken into account. Within the framework of the project, the Öko-Institut is preparing the following analyses:

  • one issue paper discusses the topic of "Just Transition" and analyses possible measures to mitigate negative social impacts of environmental policies;
  • a supplementary brief paper deals with indicators and possibilities for monitoring a Just Transition;
  • another issue paper summarises impacts of the digital transformation on the environment and sustainability.
