Statement on the plans for a reduced use of coal at the cogeneration plant Wedel in Hamburg

The study analyses the plans of the operator of the Wedel cogeneration power plant near Hamburg to reduce the use of hard coal until the planned phase-out of the plant. Apart from commenting the planned steps, the study also develops further measures towards GHG reduction in the supply of heat and power for the City of Hamburg.
