Strategic early detection (horizon scanning) of developments relevant to climate protection - implementation of measure 3.5.4.3 of the climate protection program 2030 of the federal government for the implementation of the climate protection plan 2050 - "climate scan"

The aim of the research project is to set up a horizon scanning system on climate protection for the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). Horizon scanning is intended to continuously identify climate protection-relevant trends and developments and assess their opportunities and risks for climate protection. Selected future topics are examined in greater depth in short studies that serve to prepare political approaches and their implementation. The project supports the German government in implementing emission reductions more quickly.
