Study to support the Commission in establishing guidelelines for separate collection of waste

The aim of the study is to assess the current separate collection of waste. The guideline shall provide examples for best practices for different conditions for different wastes with the aim to organize performant and efficient waste collection systems that lead to more and high-quality recycling. The report focuses on four waste streams from households for which collection and recycling rates will have to ncrease in the future:

  • Textiles waste
  • Bio-waste
  • Plastics waste
  • Household hazardous waste (HHW)
