Support for VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH organizing the BMU Congress of Experts "Electric Road System Conference 2019" (ERS-C 2019)

The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) is planning to hold an expert conference on the electrification of road freight transport "Electric Road System Conference 2019" (ERS-C 2019) on May 7 and 8, 2019 in Frankfurt. The conference is to follow on from two previous events in Sweden in 2017 and 2018 and will be planned and held in close cooperation with Swedish partners the Research and Innovation Platform for Electric Roads and the Swedish transport authority Trafikverket. The aim is to continue the exchange of information between the stakeholders involved and also to open it up to new interest groups. The aim is to cover both scientific findings and topics with a strong practical relevance. The format should therefore combine elements of a scientific congress with elements of a network meeting. The BMU is responsible for the organization and implementation of the event in cooperation with VDI/VDE Innovation und Technik GmbH (VDI/VDE-IT). The ifeu and the Öko-Institut have been commissioned with program coordination.
