Verification of the suitability of the method proposed to produce early CO2 emission estimates (2019 – 2021)

Within the project, CO2 emissions of all EU-28 Member States are estimated only 4 months after the reference year. The calculation is based on monthly energy data reported to Eurostat. At the same time a verification of the data quality of the monthly energy data in comparison to annual Eurostat data and energy data used in the UNFCCC inventory reports is performed.
