Workshop on actions to avoid the input of (plastic) wastes from ashore into the marine environment

Even though not all facets of the impacts of micro-particles, for example, can be fully comprehended today, all stakeholders agree that these entries have adverse effects and should be avoided. For most actors, however, the question of how these entries are to be avoided in concrete terms is currently not easy to answer. Against this background, BKV, IK, KVS and FCIO have decided to organise a workshop with many stakeholders and to identify the most concrete approaches possible for measures to prevent the entry of land-based plastic waste reaching out the marine environment.
