EEA Report No 13/2020

Tracking progress towards Europe’s climate and energy targets. The annual ‘Trends and projections’ report provides an assessment of the progress of the EU and European countries towards their climate mitigation and energy targets. It is based on national data for greenhouse gas emissions, renewable energy and energy consumption.

Methodology Notes: These methodology notes accompany the report "Trends and Projections in Europe 2020". They explain the methodological approach and data sources used in the report in greater detail. They also provide some overview tables of the data used in the Trends and Projections analysis.

The report was prepared on behalf of the European Environment Agency, as partner of the ETC on Climate Change Mitigation and Energy (ETC/CME).
