Securing Germany’s Sovereignty - Condensed version
The transformation to climate neutrality requires a rapid and decisive investment and modernisation program in Germany and the EU. A resilient supply of the necessary raw materials and strategic goods is an elementary prerequisite for this. In this context, new geopolitical challenges must be taken into account in such a way that Europe and Germany do not become susceptible to blackmail and the necessary political freedom for sovereign action is preserved. The study by the Climate Neutrality Foundation identifies critical weak points for strategically important transformation industries along the entire value and supply chain. It provides answers for politics, business and society on how resilience to exogenous shocks can be increased.
